This multi-phase evaluation and strategic planning project commissioned by Marketing and Education teams at Oculus assessed the scalability of the informal education market. First, BTG evaluated existing pilot projects launched statewide in California. Second, BTG worked with client’s data science teams to create a more valid analysis of demographics and usage data from the target market. Final deliverables offered data-backed recommendations for the client in how they execute their scale within the American public library market.
Interviewed, surveyed, and observed customers on their barriers and experiences with donated Oculus devices across California state pilots
Facilitated many Oculus Rooms events with librarians across distances, all meeting for the first time in VR
Architected a new pipeline for Oculus Education to query device application data on their target user market
Constructed interactive Tableau dashboards for Oculus to explore current application usage and merged demographic data
Offered recommendations on scale strategic planning using created predictive model, which heavily influenced client’s go-to market implementation
